Super Bowl live blogging

Sunday, February 4th, 2007

Depending how kaotic it gets around here over the next several hours, I will try to do some simul-blogging of the game and what’s going on around here. We’re having a few people over to watch the game on the Plasma so it should be interesting. My feeling is that the game will be pretty good, great offense vs. great defense. My worst fear is the Bears will win by scoring 10 points on offense, Grossman will have a passing rating of negative 2 but the defense will intercept a pass for a TD and Hester will run either a punt or kickoff back for a TD. Basically a repeat performance the Ravens did a few years back and you all remember what a boring game that was.

11:49 am – Cracked first beer.

1:42 pm – Ok we get it, they’re black. I always thought i was content of character not color of your skin that mattered.

Half time – So far so good. It seems to be shaping up to be a good game. One of my predictions already happened, Hester runs the initial kickoff back for a touch. A couple of the commercials have been pretty good but overall it’s been average.

6:41 – Sorry I’ve been distracted watching the game but one thing I noticed is Peyton Manning’s ability to elude defenders. I was fortunate to be able to scour the intertubes for a little video of his astounding juke abilities. Here it is.

As a Football Conference, the Big 10 SUCKS

Saturday, January 13th, 2007

Cheesehead Todd has been remarkably silent since the New Year began, no going on and on about his beloved Wisconsin Badgers. I wonder why? Could it be the Big Ten is the most overrated in all of College football? Last week I decided to send him an email wonder what was going on. Here it is.

So the big bad 10 are really not all that good when they play the best from the other leagues. Your top 3 in the big ten standings went 1-2 while the pac-10 went 3-0. Dude you have delusions of grandeur if you think Wisc is going to win anytime soon. Your conference doesn’t have the speed to keep up with the big boys. Here are some stats.
Mich/OSU outscored in bowls games 73 – 32.
Wisc 13 Mich 27
Wisc 17 Ark 14
USC 55 Ark 14
USC 32 Mich 18
I know you have the Cheese, show me some Whine! Oh I almost forgot, USC ended up #4 in the final polls, #5 in the bcs and guess what, that was still better than Wisc with only ONE loss! bwaahh bwahhh.

Chad Henne or Sonja Henie?

From this day forward, the editors here at The Kaos Theory will now refer the Chad Henne as simply as Sonja. Maybe I’ll get to interview him and do a Jim Rome on him like Rome did to Jim “Chrissy” Everett . Wouldn’t that be fun to watch?

Oh, how I love to beat the Irish!

And beat them silly we did(voice of Yoda). This has to be my favorite part of the whole enchilada.

Quinn, playing his final regular-season game, completed 22 of 45 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. He also rushed for 74 yards – most of it on a 60-yard scramble in the second quarter.

Rhema McKnight caught six passes for 109 yards and one touchdown and Jeff Samardzija had six receptions for 79 yards and one TD.

The three Notre Dame losers stars – all seniors – leave school having never beaten USC.

Ha Ha! Neener neener neener!

On Wisconsin, On Wisconsin…..

to another humiliating defeat. Once again coming up short on their quest for a national championship in NCAA football. Ponder this stat, Clemson and Georgia Tech have more championship banners in football the the Badgers. I guess there is always the Tangerine/Weedeater/Chick-fil-a bowl in their future.

Football Season is Officially ON!

Saturday, September 2nd, 2006

Thus begins the favorite part of the year for me. Football season is underway which means my wife is none to happy. I really don’t give a rat’s patoutie about Pro ball, my heart and passion lies with the boys who play on Saturday’s. If you haven’t figured it out by now that I’m an intense USC Trojan fan. If they lose a game, I can’t even read the sports page, visit ESPN.com or listen to sports talk radio. I take it waaaaaaay too seriously but what the heck it’s fun. Well, there is a boatload of games on today and my goal is to watch as many as I can. However right at this moment in time, my FRIGGIN CABLE IS FRIGGIN DOWN! %#@$%^&!
