“Do you believe in Miracles?” Al Michaels
“I can’t believe what I just saw” , Jack Buck

Well, well, well. Whoda Thunk it? Yessiree, I am the champion(queue Queen). I went into the last round of games tonight and I beat all the odds. I had a slim 92 – 71 lead with Marion Barber and TO still to play, It didn’t look good but the Eagles defense kicked some serious butt and I can say I have won. Click the image below.

Fantasy Football Playoff Edition

Sunday, December 17th, 2006

This weekend started the playoffs for my fantasy football league. Of the four teams remaining, I had the worst regular season record at 6-6-1. The rest had 9-4 records. Well it looks you can toss the regular season in the crapper because The Kaos Theory will be in the championship game next week. At the moment I’m beating my opponent 62-56 with one more player on my team yet to play but the other team is out of players. I won’t know who I will play in the final until after MNF. I didn’t ever expect to be in the championship game considering I missed the draft. Because of this I was dealt the team via the computer. But over the weeks a added and dropped players and came up with a decent team that can compete with anybody. SWEEEEEEET!

Fantasy Football

Sunday, December 10th, 2006

My team at the beginning was horriible. we couldn’t score points worth a damn. If you remember, my best player was my kicker. However, over the last 5 to 6 games we’ve changed. We are winning and winning big. After the first seven games the Kaos Theory was 2-5 and not looking like the playoffs were even in the question. But with strong play of Reggie Bush, Maurice Drew and Drew Brees over the last 5 games we went 3-1-1 improving to 6-6-1 and making the playoffs. I can’t help it if the other people in the league are idiots. So It looks like I have at least one more week of Fantasy fun.

**Update**

The ironic thing about this is there will be two teams with a 9 and 4 records that won’t make the playoffs. I just happen to be in a division with shiitey teams.

*Update II**

I kinda jumped the gun on making the playoffs. I currently lead 127 to 61 which means the remaining player from the other team, running back Thomas Jones for Da Bears must run for 300 yds(30 points) and score 6 TDs (36 points) for me to lose. Both of which would be NFL records.

**Update III**

I forgot that I own Da Bears kicker, Robbie Gould, so Jones would have to score 8 TD’s or 6 TD’s with Gould missing all the pat’s.

Fantasy Football Week 5

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006

I know I’m real boring lately. Works has been a bear and I can’t seem to think of anything pertinent to write so I (d)evolve into Mr. Fantasy Football. Last week was a great week for The Kaos Theory team, crushing the opponent 87 – 48 and it wasn’t even that close. Finally Reggie Bush found the endzone and the Edge had a decent game. Once again my kicker Gould from da Bears was golden. Evidently he pronounces it “gold” hence the play on words. Aren’t I clever? My defensive team had an outstanding week tallying 28 points, 6 of those are from Bushs’ punt return for a TD, 3 int, one fumble recovery and 6 sacks. The only drawback was my receiver corps. I can’t remember the last time they hit paydirt, it must have been week one. Here’s the roundup of my team.

QB Brees – 12 points – pedestrian numbers this week but hopefully he can put up some points against the Titans at home.

RB Bush – 8 – I think this will break him out of his funk and the points will start rolling in.

RB James – 11 – all his points came on yardage and no scores. He needs to get in the endzone but against ds Bears this week, I’m not counting on it.

WR – Edwards – a measly 2 points. He can go only up from this point.

WR – Toomer – 8 – not bad but he needs TD’s.

TE Gonzalez – 2 – Up by 41 points I didn’t think he’d get much PT.

K Gould – 16 – This guy was the biggest steal of the draft. I figured the Bears offense would move the ball but not put it in the zone that much. That would mean alot of FG attempts and more 3 pointers than xp’s.

Defense Jaquars – 28 – Absolutely dismantled the Jets.

Fantasy Football Week 4

Monday, October 2nd, 2006

I friggin finally won! Woo Hoo! Honestly though I should have lost. The team I was up against had 2 players on a bye week and if they had used their substitutes they would have won easily. At the beginning of the night I had a commanding lead of 63 to 19 but McNabb was playing for Philly and Driver for the Pack. McNabb had an outstanding game tallying 37 points all by himself. This meant Driver only had to produce 8 points for me to lose. Thankfully he only had 5. But a W is a W and I’ll take it. 63 – 61. Hopefully next week I’ll get some touchdowns from my runningbacks because up to this point they haven’t danced in the endzone yet. Here’s a roundup of my players scoring.

QB Brees – 21 points – Overall not bad

RB Bush – 4 – He’s got to get in the endzone one of these days.

RB James – 7 – See above with Bush

WR Bryant – 2 points – He’s going to the bench because Toomer had a bye.

WR Edwards – 7 – nice game for him but he also needs some TD’s

TE Gonzalez – 5 – Since he was in a blowout he probably didn’t play too much in the second half but still no TD’s.

K Gould – 13 – This guy’s my secret weapon. I don’t think Chicago’s offense is that good so he’ll get alot of FG’s.

Defense Jaquars – 4 points – They got shelled by the Skins for almost 500 ydds and 36 points.

This week I was lucky but my guys should be able to put up some more points. H*ll I won this week and without a WR, RB or TE getting in the endzone. If I get a TD out of each of those guys, my game is not even close.

My Fantasy Football Team is …….

Monday, September 25th, 2006

trully awful this week. The team I’m going up against already has 108 points based on how they are accumulated. Currently at the halftime of the MNF game I have 52. Since I have 3 Saints players, Reggie Bush, Drew Brees and Joe Horn I was praying for big points out of them. Unfortunely for me it’s the other Saints players doing all the scoring. Firstly, they block a punt for a TD then some unknown guy takes a reverse for a score. At this point I need 57 points in the second half. It can be done because if Brees throws 3 or so TD passes to either Horn or Bush, I get 6 points for Brees and 6 for the receiver thats 36 points and you can get points for yardage as well. Running backs and receivers get one point for every 10 yards and quaterbacks get a point for every 25 yds of passing. Here’s my starting lineup from this week and the points they scored.

RB Edgerin James 15 points – not bad

WR Amani Toomer 8 points – disappointing

TE Reggie Kelly – Goose egg, my normal TE is Tony Gonzalez but SD has a bye this week

PK Robbie Gould – lone bright spot 13 points on FG’s

Defense Jaquars – 6 points, last week they had 20 so this is another disappointment.

At half Brees and Bush have 4 points and Horn has 2.

The team I’m up against had Carson Palmer and Michael Westbrook. Between the 2 of them they had 58 points.

The Saints drive down the field at the start of the 3rd quarter, burn 8 minutes off the clock, get all the way to the one yard line and have to settle for a FG. Reggie had two shots for a TD but got stuffed. Damn.
